What Is RenegadeQueer?

In basic terms, RenegadeQueer is a queer stance specifically related to queer and trans joy. It is similar to terms such as Archstance or Eepyqueer in some ways but rather than bothering with discourse at all, it places queer empowerment at the front of the conversation. What Is Considered RenegadeQueer?

The term Renegadequeer may apply to you if you hold the following beliefs ::

  • Anti-fascism and active fighting against fascism in whatever way you can, even if seemingly small.

  • All queer and trans people should have the right to experience joy and pride in their existence and self. No one should ever be made to feel ashamed of their queer identity regardless of how "problematic" others may deem it.

  • Prioritization of community building and care for your queer siblings over discourse of any kind.

  • Kink acceptance and kink pride

  • Risk awareness even outside of kink spaces

  • Apathy towards the law as it is made and enforced by those who only seek to line their pockets at the expense of the populace.

  • Thought crimes and other puritan concepts hold no weight, there are only harmful actions.

  • There is no wrong way to be queer. Everyone's queer experience is unique to them and to police the identity of others puts you on the side of oppressors.

  • A belief in intersectional discrimination such as transmisogyny, transmisogynoir, transandrophobia, etc.

  • A firm stance on protecting your fellow queers no matter how their opinions may differ from yours.

  • Pro-Para

  • Anti non-consensual contact for any paraphilia.

The following things do not pertain to whether you can consider yourself Renegadequeer ::

  • Any other stances one holds in regards to any sort of discourse.

  • Whether one has harmed others in the past, what matters is an attempt at recovery and amends.

The following things are the only things that can't be considered renegadequeer ::

  • Pro non-consensual contact

  • Conservativism // MAGA beliefs

  • Harassing those who don't share your stances for any reason

Why was this term made?

As fascism rises globally and trans genocide begins to hook its claws into our society it is our job as members of our community to do everything we possibly can for one another. Even if one must go under the table to do so. This stance was made with these ideas at the forefront.Along with this it is a term to denote that no matter who you are or what stances you hold, at the end of the day we are both queer. Because of that we are connected in our oppression. If the law isn't on our side and our governments wish for our death than we will take it upon ourselves to help each other live.As well, this term inherently has a sense of risk awareness in mind. What this means is while we will do what we all must to live a joyful and happy life, we will all continue to look at the risks posed by any under handed ways of doing so and make the decision whether that risk is too great for our own well being. It is not a term meant to be self-sacrificial, while this term in some ways promotes non-conventional ways of necessary queer and trans autonomy, it is not meant to encourage behavior that would harm oneself. Do not go in blind. Always be sure to research and balance the risks before making any decisions.

Renegadequeer Symbols

The Symbol

The symbol was made to represent trans and genderqueer people breaking free of societies expectations for what we should or should not be. Instead embracing queer joy and love.

The Flag

The Renegadequeer flag was made at the same time as the original coined term. The colors are from the Ego Renegade Boy music video as that was the original inspiration for the term.

The Emoji Code

As many queer stance terms do, Renegadequeer does have an emoji code. Currently this emoji code is :: 🦋⛓️‍💥Along with this one may use the acronym RGQ in place of Renegadequeer.This carrd will be updated with any future itterations.

  • Renegadequeer was inspired by the song Ego Renegade Boy by Flavor Foley

  • The original coiner and maker of this carrd is pro-endo, neutral leaning anti-radqueer, and ship-neutral. This is only listed for the sake of transparency and has no bearing on the term itself.
